Winter Storm

Well everyone, we survived our winter storm:) It lasted for 2 days, starting Friday afternoon with a steady snow fall,and continued all day Saturday with the worst part on Saturday night. We went to bed with alot of snow and woke up buried in it. The storm dumped 52 - 56 cm of snow on us; breaking the record of 44cm. Since November we have gotten 403cm of snow. We could break the record from the 70's if we get another 30cm. Sunday we woke up and Ron had to snow blow our driveway and our neighbours. It took a long time since the snow was past the blade on the snow blower. After lunch Ron, the kids and I went out to play and see how much snow had fallen. Riley and Kiera sled down our own sled hill and I took pictures. It's amazing how much snow there is. I had taken pictures on Friday morning, and then on Sunday and you can definitely see the difference. Thank god for the Snow blower!

Been Busy

Well the new year has kept us busy. Riley, Kiera and I have been going to the gym every morning. The kids rotate , depending on who has school. They love going there, which makes it easy for me to go. I set a goal to be in shape by mid April. So far, so good. Then I decide to make another goal with my friend Tracy - to run a 5K. I have been running at the gym but wasn't sure if i could run a 5k, anyway today i decided to try and to my surprise I could. Actually to my surprise, I didn't realize the treadmill was in miles and I ended up running 5 miles in 56mins. Now once the the warmer weather comes I'll train outside for a 5k race.

I've also been busy with my tole painting. Before Christmas I started painting on glass blocks. it was a hit, and I had an order to make more. After christmas I made Kiera one. Tinkerbell of course and I will start one for Riley - A power ranger.

I also decided to start selling Close to my heart Stamp and scrapbooking stuff. With all this, it should keep me busy. Anyway, till next time.

The First Rink

Here are some pics of the kids and Sean on the rink we made when he was here...since this time ( early Dec ) we've had 150cm of snow, over 200mm of rain ( in 5 days ) and were down to bare grass...the rink has since been rebuilt although a little smaller this time around

Riley was sooo proud when he won the "hardest worker helmet" at hockey. He wore this out to every store we went to on the weekend.
