Here fishy
Getting good use of the boat so far this year. Taken the kids out twice so far. The lake here is great for the kids, they catch fish as fast as I can take the fish off and put a new worm on. Not much fishing for me but oh well. Mostly they catch bluegill and perch. Kiera likes the perch better since they're smaller, she's a bit scared of the bigger bluegill. She's funny too because she gets tired of fishing but then complains that Riley's catching fish and she isn't...go figure.

Here is a catfish Riley caught...guess his lure was in the mud :) Pretty heavy fish though.
And here is Riley's favorite fish. He had to tell everyone at the dock about how he caught a Walleye

Canada Day!
The celebration is over and now we are tired and recouperating. It was a long day. The kids went swimming in the morning, then we headed down to the Beach where they had Canada Day festivities. We only stayed for about 1/2 to see what was there, then headed home for the BBQ. At three o'clock our friends started to arrive. Once everyone was here, we all headed to the pool for a swim. It was a perfect day -sunny warm weather and a warm pool. Everyone enjoyed themselves, especially the kids. We also munched on snacks , ( the kids eating their weight in chips) we had a later supper. After supper the kids played while the adults chatted, unless you were one of the guys watching Trevor showing off his RC car :) Ron and I had planned on having fireworks at our house but then decided we should all go down to the beach. So around 9:30pm we headed to the beach, found our place on the sand and waited. The fireworks were amazing. If you were lying on the sand it looked like they were right over top of you. Needless to say everyone had a great time, and we were all glad we headed into Carleton Place to see them. Hope you enjoy the pics.
